A Sweater for My Feet

I finally finished the French Press Felted Slippers as February's project for the Pattern Pact 2011 group on flickr.

Pattern: French Press Felted Slippers by French Press Knits, Melynda Bernardi (Ravelry Link)
Yarn: Cascade 220. The yarn is a beautiful red-orange and has some golden highlights.
Needles: size 15 circs

This pattern is really well written and I had no trouble making up the slippers. also has a couple of helpful videos on youtube about seaming up the slippers. The felting was actually the hardest part. I think I needed to create more friction in the washer. I only had a pair of tennis shoes in the washer with the pillowcase containing the slippers and it took four or five cycles before they were the correct size. Next time, I'll put some clothing in there with them.

I don't know about you but the end of February really snuck up on me. I haven't made as much progress on my projects as I would like but I will be on spring break in one week! I am so looking forward to it! Hopefully, I will have some finished projects to share.
